Unable to train combat mastery

My combat mastery is at rC and the points have stayed at 0 even if I kill what it tells me to kill (similar/powerful rank).
Do I need to do something else to rank it (my character is an elf btw)? Is it a glitch? If it is, can I fix it or do I have to report it and wait for it to be fixed?

Huh, it might be a glitch. I've never heard of that happening before.

How did you kill it? Since if it was with bow or magic I'm not sure if that will work but uhh -capped perfect training rA combat mastery- not really something I rank... so don't know for sure.

forum is onto somthing. you have to kill with a meelee attack. and if it wants you to defeat a strong enemy hold down the alt button to see weakest,weak,normal,strong,awfull,boss

Thanks for your help guys! It turns out I do have to finish with melee! It was fine before... I wonder if they changed it while I wasn't training it xD
