Where the Deer and the Antilope graze

I am wondering how the spotted deer and short horned antelope are supposed to help one pick mushrooms...I mean I haven't tried like feeding it one...but I've picked the mushroom and went on, sat around one for 30 mabi minutes, and a few other things...but it hasn't helped me...and is there and limitations on how the deer picks...like it will only get brown pine and not hazelnut or gold?

I'm...not entirely sure what you're trying to do.
If you're asking where the deer are, they're in Corrib Valley, between Taillteann and Tara.
If you're asking how the dear (and other animal NPCs) take your items, you have to pick up the item and click the item onto the NPC. Then the deer would probably give you some herbs, a random number of a specific kind, I think.

Wouldn't the pet guide that comes with the pet provide the command(s) needed to initiate gathering mushrooms?

See I did try yelling at it Mushroom!...it sat and stared at me...unblinkingly...it was creeping me out...lol

Of course, you need to fufill a few requirements to have a deer/antelope grab mushrooms for you.

1. It needs to have room in the inventory. The mushrooms go DIRECTLY in there.
2. Mushroom! is the command for a deer/antelope to collect. However...
3. There MUST be mushrooms in the area.

If you call out mushroom! and it doesn't collect anything or move, it doesn't have any mushrooms nearby or its inventory is full. Both requirements must be fufilled...I should know, my deer owns 7 full stacks of mushrooms from us collecting in Dugald.

Dugald Forest and Karu Forest....look THERE for mushroom patches at night. Hope this helps you!

okay...i got it working now...idk what the problem was..but apparently now it will help me gather some now...i mean it would be better if it could just auto it...like make a pet AI for that...
