[Yuri]

Prologue - Shinseina En

"Yuki, do you know what a 'Shinseina En' is?" asked Noko.

"No, brother," replied Yuki, "what are they?"

Yuki, a small 10 year old girl, and her older brother Noko sat in a field alone. Yuki looked up at her brother with curious eyes. A small silence followed Noko's reply.

"They are weapons. They are made special for each user. Recently there have been an outbreak in groups that use them." Explain Noko.

"I don't understand." Said Yuri.

"One day you will."

Chapter One: Welcome to the World of the Edges.

It has been 5 years. Yuri has grown up to be a very pretty girl. Her hair a cascade of aqua blue put up tight into a ponytail. Her outfit is a pirate-looking outfit, skin tight. Finally, on her back was a very fine made oak longbow.

Yuri, and her friends DJ and Sora, were traveling from Emain Macha to Dunbarton. Sora, the oldest of the group, came into money and wanted to spend it.

"So, how did you get the coin, Sora?" Asked Yuri.

"I have been saving from my part-time job. I have been waiting for a good reason to use it." Replied Sora.

"Do you mean Hurricane making an appearance in Dunbarton?" Asked DJ.

Hurricane is an A ranked Guild. It boasts 300+ members. Many mysteries are also wrapped around the guild. The most controversy one is that no one has ever met the leader. Besides that, there are many other reasons to want to meet the guild. Sora has talked about it for ages, he wants to meet Acaleus, a legendary figure in the world of sword fighting.

"Yea. I have wanted to meet Acaleus for ages." Said Sora.

"We know." Said Yuri and DJ together. They both were a little sick of hearing of Sora's hero.

As the landscape slowly changed they soon came into view of Dunbarton. The high wall protecting the city is very familiar to any traveler. It was also like a second home for Yuri, she came to stay here often when her brother goes somewhere for his job.

When they reached 100 yards of the gate into the city, Yuri broke into a run. "I'll race you!" she said, looking back at her friends. Together the three ran into the city.

Once inside the city, Yuri was star struck by what she saw. The city was filled to explode with guilds. It seemed that Sora wasn't the only one who wanted to meet Hurricane.

DJ and Sora caught up to Yuri and stopped dead with the same star struck look in there eyes. This is the first time any of them have seen a gathering this large.

"What do we do now?" Asked Sora.

"You brought us here, didn't you have a plan?" Asked DJ. His eyes scanning the crowds.

"Let's go shopping!" Said a really excited Yuri. She grabbed both the boys hands and pulled them in the direction of Simon's shop.

The inside of Simon's shop was filled with a bunch of excited girls. Alot of them looked like they belonged to guilds and were buying new outfits for their members. Yuri was instantly drawn to a rack a large group of girls surrounded, leaving DJ and Sora near the store front.

"Hey Sora, look at this." Said DJ.

DJ was looking at a sign in the window they had missed on their way in. It said 'Sale' Everything 25% Off!'. It was painted in gold letters so it stuck out.

"Oh. That's cool." Replied Sora.

"You know what this means, right?" Said DJ.

"Everything is 25% off?" Said Sora.

"No, it means you can finally buy your girl friend something she wants."

"Yuri and I aren't like that!" Said Sora, "Even if I wanted to Simon's clothing is still to expensive."

"Hey guys!" Yuri said, both of them turned around. Yuri had changed into an ice blue dress. DJ and Sora were both speechless. "How do I look?"

"Great!" Said Sora. He couldn't help but stare at her.

"Fantastic!" Said DJ. He was equally in awe.

"Really?" Asked Yuki, embarrassed. "I don't think it's my style. Let me change and we can leave."

Back out in the streets, with Yuri in her old pirate-looking clothing, Yuri was now enduring the boys shopping as they ran from vendor to vendor looking at weapons. The weapons sold at the vendors were always over priced in Yuri's opinion.

20 minutes later the sun was starting to turn the sky orange. Yuri, DJ, and Sora were eating at a small food cart. It was an excellent end for a day before they retired to an inn. Their plans to meet Hurricane were ruined by the access groups if people.

Suddenly a bell sounded at the church. This was strange, the bell hadn't been used in years. Yuri looked up to find someone standing on the ledge above the fountains.

"Guys look." Yuri pointed the stranger out.

"Welcome Storm Slayers!" Said the strange man, "I am Acaleua of Hurricane. I am here to invite you all to the Grand Scale Tournament! It will be held in Cor village in one years time. Good luck Storm Slayers."

Chapter Two - Storm Slayers

The next day Dunbarton returned to it's former state. The guild had all cleared out leaving only merchants and adventurers. Yuri, DJ, and Sora were sitting at the small park outside the church.

"He was here!" said Sora. "He was here and I missed him!"

"That's not important." Said Yuki. "What is important that we find out what Storm Slayers are."

"Well," started DJ. "I once read that there are different type of guilds. Dungeon Runners, Sport Types, Explorers, and basic Friend Gathering Types. But I have never heard of Storm Slayers."

"That's right." Said Someone behind them. They looked back to be confronted with a male, about 17, wearing a dark red muffler robes. "My name is Red, Leader of Inferno, a Storm Slayers Guild."

"Uhm..." sighed Yuri. "Nice to meet you?"

"Hi?" Said DJ.

"Hello......" Said Sora.

"I'm sorry to eaves drop, but I heard you were interested in Storm Slayers. You must have heard Acaleus yesterday.

Yuri, DJ, and Sora looked at eachother. "What can you tell us?" Asked Sora.

"Storm Slayers have been around for generations, the general population wants nothing to do with our type so they don't record us in any literature. Although if you look, signs of us is all around. We mark our territory by stickers on local land marks, the bulletins list requests and challenges for us, most of the shops here have our type of weapons. You just don't know were to look."

"Wait." Said Yuri. "What do you mean by 'our weapons'?"

"Shinseina En, weapons that are crafted specifically for a single user. The weapons sold here are starter grade. I am afraid I cannot tell you much, I don't know much myself." Red looked at the position of the sun. "Well, I have to go. I am a very popular person and I cannot let you guys hog me."

Typo due to my iPhone sorry :3 it changed it every time before I noticed. I'm afraid I'm discontinuing this story though

A passionate wave of inspiration hit me, unlike what this story line did, and I want to follow it <3 I think you will like my next story more It's filled with allot more drama, mystery, and passion then this one. I believe my next story will take your soul by storm and captivate your hearts ::naive::!

I will enter the prologue in a new topic either today or tomorrow. I hope you all will read it! <3
