No, they change the name and so avoided copyright laws. Like for example the MMO Hunter blade is Monster hunters but they changed the name. Otherwise everything is the same.

I use mabinogi wiki alot with my Generation and skill research.

Try using the manual patch provided by nexon, and if that does not work uninstall the game and if that doesn't work its your internet blocking the connection to fix that add mabinogi to the exception...

Did you try to log in during the game is offline?
Try unstalling the game
Run as admin
Add it as a exception to firewall.

They are all really bad atm lol.....
